Early Detection Saves LivesOctober is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Each October, we come together to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection. At Center Pharmacy, we care deeply about your health and want to remind you that taking a few simple steps can make all the difference. Performing regular self-breast exams helps you become familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel, so you can notice any changes right away. While most changes aren’t cancer, it’s always best to talk with your healthcare provider if you notice something new such as a lump, skin change, or discharge. In addition to monthly self-checks, follow the recommended screening guidelines for your age and risk level. Mammograms remain the best way to find breast cancer early—when it’s most treatable. If you’re due for one, let this month be your reminder to schedule it. We’re proud to stand with all those affected by breast cancer—patients, survivors, and families—and we encourage every woman (and men, too) to take charge of their health. Stop by the pharmacy for educational materials or to talk with our team about screening resources in our community. Together, we can make early detection a habit and continue spreading hope, awareness, and wellness. Your health matters—let’s make prevention a priority!
